United States Department of State issues a travel advisory for its citizens traveling to Indonesia. The threat of terrorism, Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters is it concern. The US government assesses that several areas in Indonesia have this increased risk.
America says terrorists continue to plan attacks in Indonesia. Terrorists can attack with little or without warning, targeting police stations, places of worship, hotels, bars, nightclubs, markets/shopping malls, and restaurants.
The Governor of Central Sulawesi, Longki Djanggola, expressed his concern regarding the ban. He stated that the Central Sulawesi Police, Military Chief and the Central Government were competent to answer the question.
“I am concerned about the call for a ban on visiting Central Sulawesi. However, to ensure security and public order in Central Sulawesi, please ask the police and military,” said Longki.
He also questioned how long this terrorist threat would last and become a scourge for Central Sulawesi peoples. ***
